Hey there! I'M

Emmanuel Teye-Kofi Odonkor

I hail from Odumase-Krobo in the Eastern Region of Ghana. I come from a nuclear family of five including myself with three other siblings. In the year 2013, I completed junior high school and made it into Pope John Senior High School. As a General Arts student in high school, I had a great desire to explore about historic events leading to civilization and the emergence of our technological world today.

Winning an award as the Best History Student during a Speech and Prize Giving Day at Pope John Senior High School in January 2016, amazed me because being chosen as the best from a pool of students was by the grace of the Almighty God.

Post-High School Journey

Upon completion of Pope John in April 2016, I embarked on a new journey of studying computers, networks, web development, and programming due to a desire I embraced after high school. This desire landed me in IPMC Ghana training in Koforidua. Just as the saying goes, ” A journey of a thousand miles begins with a step”, IPMC gave me the platform to begin my desire of a 6-month computing course in introduction to computing such as Excel, HTML, SQL, etc.

Ashesi University

The experience from IPMC Ghana, helped me develop an interest in Information Technology, which led me into studying Computer Science at Ashesi University in the year 2017.  At Ashesi, I developed strong technical skills in Computer Science while also cultivating leadership and teamwork through tech projects and community engagement. I completed Ashesi University in 2021 and now holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.

Community & Social Impact

I volunteered with the Future of Africa Organization, supporting street-connected children through life skills, literacy, and numeracy programs. I taught values such as integrity, personal hygiene, and social etiquette, coordinated daily activities, and designed assessments to track progress. This experience reinforced my commitment to mentorship, leadership, and creating positive social impact.

Career

I had my National Service obligation at CYST Company Limited in East Legon, where I worked with the Software Development Team. Upon completing my service in 2022, I was retained as a Software Engineer at CYST.
In 2023, I transitioned to Ecobank (eProcess International), working as an Application Engineer, with a specialization in ProcessMaker to automate business process models.
While continuing my professional journey at Ecobank, I have also been actively gaining expertise in Data Science and Machine Learning to broaden my technical skills. The next section highlights my learning journey in Data Science, along with other professional development efforts I’ve undertaken through various online platforms.
